How it works

Italian laundromats run on tokens and detergent sachets. Four steps, and if you need help, call or message us on WhatsApp.

  1. Get tokens

From the change machines: the big one takes coins and notes, the small one only €5, €10 and €20 notes. They give no change. 1 token = €1.

  2. Load the washer

Put your laundry in the drum and close the door firmly.

  3. Add detergent

Bring your own, or get a sachet from the dispenser: type the number and it drops. 1 token each.

  4. Start

Choose a programme and press Start. A wash takes 27-29 minutes.

Dryer. Fill the drum halfway, choose the temperature and press Start. Clean the filter when the cycle ends.

Safety first. No clothes stained with oil or solvents, no foam rubber, nothing flammable. Don't leave children alone near the machines.

What you can wash

Duvets and blankets

Our biggest washers take 16 and 23 kg: a double duvet fits in the 23 kg. Blankets and pillows too.

Your pet's things

Washer no. 7, at the back with the white paw stickers, is just for pets: beds, coats, pet towels, rags and sneakers. A wash costs €6.00. That way the others stay clean for everyone. And your dog can come in with you.

While you wait

Laundry time doesn't have to be wasted time.

  • Coffee without the stairs. Use the intercom to order a coffee or a sandwich from Sale, the bar upstairs.
  • Free Wi-Fi for anyone doing laundry.
  • A lounge to work in, under the brick vaults, with sockets for phones and laptops. Need a power strip? Ask the staff, Monday to Friday; at weekends, if someone is in the shop.

Questions

Do I need to bring detergent?

You can bring your own, but powder only: liquid detergent that isn't professional-grade stays in the washer's pipes. Put it straight into the drum. Or the dispenser has detergent, sanitiser, stain remover and softener in single-dose sachets: type the product's number and it drops. 1 token each.

Can I pay by card?

The machines take tokens only, 1 token = €1. There are two change machines inside: the big one takes coins and notes, the small one only €5, €10 and €20 notes. They give no change. If staff are around, you can buy tokens from them and pay with Satispay.

How long does a wash take?

A wash takes 27-29 minutes. Drying is paid in tokens: 1 token, 8 minutes. For a properly dry load we suggest at least 5.

Who can I ask for help?

Can I wash a duvet?

Yes, in the 16 and 23 kg washers.

Can I work while I wait?

Yes: Wi-Fi and the lounge are free for anyone doing laundry, and there are sockets for phones and laptops. Ask the staff if you need a power strip.

Is there step-free access?

Yes: a lift shared with Sale, the bar upstairs, takes wheelchairs and pushchairs.
